While commonly used in both sweet and savory dishes, its magical use in Hoodoo is believed to amplify rituals and spells for prosperity, success, wealth, abundance, protection, and as offerings. It is also given as an offering to the ancestors. Additionally, cinnamon is recognized for its healing properties. You may feel intuitively led when using herbs and spices for magic. Uses of Cinnamon in Hoodoo


Florida Water Adding cinnamon to your handmade Florida Water to enhance the magical uses of cinnamon

Cinnamon Wash With just water and cinnamon. Wash your door to bring prosperity or other spiritual effects; mop your floors and/or wash your hands. Cinnamon also works as a great repellent to insects

Cinnamon Boil Add cinnamon and other herbs of your choice to boiling water, keep it simmering on the stove uncovered. Do not allow the pot to run dry. Place in the refrigerator for future use until the water has diminished.

Cinnamon Blow Step outside your door and keep the door open. Sprinkle cinnamon into your hand, pray or speak words of intention and manifestation and blow the cinnamon through the door

Cinnamon Oil Soak cinnamon sticks in a carrier oil (ie olive oil, coconut oil) for 4-6 weeks or longer, or soak cinnamon sticks in carrier oil in a jar and simmer over low heat for 8 hours. As per your choice, you can rub/pat cinnamon oil on your body and reap the skin benefits. (Ensure you are not allergic)
