Herbs for the Women's Reproductive Health: Improve PCOS, Endometriosis, Infertility, Menopause
These listed medicinal herbs have been used for centuries for women's health. When combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle, these herbs can work like magic maintaining fertility, menopause, excessive PMS symptoms, irregular periods and more. I have used many of these herbs and out of all of them, I think Chasteberry "the miracle herb" is one of my faves. Being that every woman is different, there results may vary.
Chasteberry aka Vitex
Chasteberry is known to assist in boosting fertility, reducing the effects of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis, and menopause. It may help hormone and estrogen levels. If you have extreme PMS symptoms, ovarian cysts, or any of the above, chasteberry may be for you.
My Experience:
*I consider chasteberry to be "the miracle herb" for women's reproductive health...but it can also be very complex. Anyway, it worked pretty fast for me. I took the capsules (500mg) twice daily for 2 weeks and I ended up pregnant. I WAS LIKE "WHOAAA". 😳 Now the thing about it is, I ended up miscarrying and I whole heartedly believe it was because I stopped taking them cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant. A couple years later, I gave them another chance. I decided to take them again specifically for menstrual cycle. I took the same capsules for about 2 months and got pregnant again. I of course wanted to prevent a miscarriage again, so this time I just weaned off the capsules until my third trimester and had a beautiful, healthy baby, and pregnancy.
(This is not to say that you should do the same thing because everyone's body is different.)
Maca Root
Maca root is also known as the "Peruvian Ginseng." Studies have shown that maca may be able to boost energy and stamina, assist in erectile dysfunction, and increase concentration and memory. Maca may also reduce the symptoms of menopause. Click here for more about maca root.
My Experience:
*Maca is one of my daily supplements. In my personal experience, after about a month of taking 250mg-500mg capsules daily, I have seen a reduction in the amount of time I normally have my cycle. My cycle would normally last 7 days and since taking maca for a month, it reduced to 5 days. I also no longer had crazy mood swings and tender breasts, so maca is definitely the way to go. 👌
