Valerian Root: Nature's Sleep Aid | Relieve Anxiety | Naturally Treat Insomnia or Sleep Trouble

Valerian root is a very well-known herb to ease restlessness. Some may even consider it an herbal alternative to anti-anxiety medication. Valerian is a plant native to parts of Europe and Asia. It has been used for thousands of years as a way to treat insomnia. This herb can be great for both the mind and body. The active compounds in valerian have been shown to have anti-inflammatory, sedative and anti-seizure effects. As an herbalist, I would recommend valerian root over melatonin. Although valerian root has potent properties, the smell of it is FUNKY!
